Mitali Shah completed her graduation in 2009 with Bachelors in Visual Arts (Painting) from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University, Baroda. and then received the Nasreen Mohemmedi Scholarship awarded by the Painting Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda for the academic year 2008 – 2009. She completed her post-graduation with a Masters in Visual Arts (Painting), from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University, Baroda in 2011. She was awarded the Inlaks Fine Arts Award by the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation during her final year of post-graduation in 2011.
